Godspeed

FedEx @ SanDiego International Airport

FedEx Corp., the world’s largest cargo airline, suffered its first fatal accident with the crash of a Boeing Co. MD-11 jet at Tokyo’s Narita airport that killed both pilots.

Upon hearing the tragic news last night we were devastated. My husband is part of this community so it really hit home. He also flies freight.

Our heart felt sorrow goes out to the families and loved ones of the pilots. God Bless.

Airspeed is life because it gives you lift.
Lift is all you need to fly.
Sometimes mother nature is stronger than you.Being a pilot, the best job ever.

So sad.

You've captured, I think, the spirit of flight here and it's a nice tribute to FedEx.

I used to be an air evacuation medic, and so my heart goes out. Last week, I saw a FedEx plane being loaded. My thoughts went directly to the scene in Castaway (the Tom Hanks movie), and I wondered if one ever crashed in real life. Then I heard of this one, and found it was the first. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families.
